I also did not observe any major performance decrease over periods of extended use.

Should I buy the Seagate Game Drive M.2 SSD for PS5?

You should consider other more readily available options if you would prefer or need a 4TB SSD.

Also consider… Samsung 990 ProThe Samsung 990 Pro is the PS5 SSD to beat.

It has a great design and boasts blazing fast speeds.

Just bear in mind that it is more expensive than the Seagate Game Drive M.2 SSD for PS5.

Still, its within the recommended spec and could be a good alternative if you find it on sale.
