Motorolas latest high-endflip-phoneis competitively priced.
So the question is: has anything been sacrificed?
The foldable inner display opens out to an almost imperceptible flatness
Its certainly not style.
It feels great in the hand, too.
An IPX8 rating means it can take a dunk underwater without issue.
The superb outer display is extremely bright and highly practical
The specs are not to be sniffed at, either.
Its a very tempting package with as well see only a handful of shortcomings.
The foldable inner display is even brighter than the outer one, at 3,000cd/m2.
The “vegan leather” back adds to the phone’s good looks
Sadly, not everything about Motorolas Android platform makes such a good impression.
Unfortunately, the results clearly suffer from the sort of AI bias I thought wed left behind years ago.
Camera tricks
The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is fun to shoot with in almost every situation.
But this remains a fast phone.
The only hiccup I encountered was with Motorolas AI features.
Its a clunky experience, but that may be down to first-generation software.
While the Razr 50 Ultra isnt the fastest phone around, its admirably power-efficient.
In our tests we regularly enjoyed more than 14 hours of screen time with the Razr 50 Ultra.
Hopefully a future software update will fix this.
There are rough edges.
Its an easy recommendation for anyone looking to take a walk on the flip-side.
We also rated the best phones that incorporate artificial intelligence.
