However, it brings some cool ideas to the table when it comes to combat and traversal.

Which isnt a lot, but its weird that its happened twice.

To many, this alone is worth playingEnotriafor - just to see how gorgeous and creative its environments get.

Enotria: The Last Song

However, I still thinkEnotriais worth a playthrough for its stunning environmental design and occasionally clever level layouts.

Said masks change the Maskless Ones appearance and provide unique bonuses.

Masks form the base of your loadouts, of which you’re free to set up to three.

Enotrias art direction is simply sublime.

This is exacerbated by the games tricky terminology.

Dizzy, for example, reduces your overall defense, but also buffs your damage and stamina regeneration rate.

All the world’s a stage

One thing that doesnt need explaining isEnotriasstunning world design.

Definitely playEnotriaon anHDR-capable display if you’re free to; the game is certainly suited for it.

I was also really impressed withEnotriaslevel design overall.

It strikes a great balance between linearity and optional exploration.

The game does sadly fall quite short in the combat department.

In fact, Id hit level 60 just a handful of hours into my first playthrough.

Its a relatively short game, too, especially for a soulslike.

I also endeavored to try out a bunch of different loadouts via the Mask system.
